Hi.  I upgraded my old 2006 Mac Pro from 2.66 dual core to 3.0 quad core and I have 14gb of memory running OS 10.7.5.  It went pretty easily.  The benchmark test for 64bit multi core went from 4622 to 11360.  The "about this Mac" screen didn't recogniz...

I have a PNY GeForce GT 730 for my Mac Pro 1,1. I have 10.7.5 installed and Yosemite. I would like to use El Capitan but after reading the last post it sounds  impossible. Has anyone ever tried this before?

I just install X5355s into my 2006 Mac Pro. updated the firmware, I am now having issues with it starting and freezing.
The firmware seem to work, but now I get it running and then freezes, and won't get past the boot screen.

Any help?

I got an NVIDIA Quadro 5000 (PC Version) from someone.  Is it difficult to flash one of these to work on my Mac Pro A1289?

You aren't very clear about this 670.

Is it MXM or normal card?

I don't think 08 XServe has MXM so it is reg PCIE?

If so, how are you powering the power ports?

They aren't optional.

Problem is that the quadro 4000 for mac used until recently died.. just 1 month after warranty :/

Somewhere here in the forum i found the romfile for the quadro 4000 for mac which is 170KB. however the rom for the PC-version i found at techpo...

I guess i should repost this. I don't actually have the card working. I was going to install windows 8 and flash it that way. but im having trouble getting it to install. i heard all nvidia cards worked on 10.8 and up. as long as you flash it. does any...

All does work. The only one that doesn't work is this one. Boot screens does work well.

I had success with 113-C00101-106, it show 5870 in system but not yet bootscreens...

Where is the best efi ROM to inject in ?

Any chance MacVidCards/netkas can support these new cards in a MacPro?  If they really do ship at $699 and $399 next month, with the low power requirements and Titan-beating performance they could change the MacPro GPU aftermarket in a blink.

Read a lot about the HD 5870... It seems that earlier models (no bootscreen like mine or like XFX HD-587X-ZNFV, Device Id:    1002 6898 Subsystem Id:    1002 0B00) have theses connectors :
- DVI-D Single link
- DVI-I dual link
- DP
- HDMI

and others model...
